Pathfinder Spell Card Generator

Bruce found a link to a Pathfinder Spell Card Generator. This could prove to be a useful tool for all you spell casters out there. The spell summaries appear to be good and you can pick which spells to print. If the spell is not in Pathfinder, you can create a custom spell card.

You can access it directly at

I have placed a link to it on my website at

No game in December

Due to scheduling conflicts, there will be no game in December.

We will need to discuss alternate dates for January (New Year's) and February (Super Bowl).

December conflict

I have a conflict with our scheduled date for December. We are celebrating my Grandma's 90th birthday on 12/5/10. It is likely a most of the day event. We have church with a post service coffee hour and a dinner. Even if I was free in the evening, I really do not see being able to a single session let alone two.

I would like to suggest that we either reschedule for 12/12/10 or you game without me and someone else will have to run.

I am open to suggestions.

Currently the next scheduled session is October 3rd

Per the calendar, the next scheduled session for the Sunday game is October 3rd. If the game remains on that date we will be missing Randy and Russ for sure as that is the last day of the Ren Fest. Bruce had also expessed an interest in going to the festival.

Should we move the next Sunday game to October 10th to have the opportunity for more players?

Game this Sunday - 9/12/10

Reminder, we are scheduled for gaming this Sunday. I am planning to run but the question is who will be there to play? I expect Bruce, Dave and Jon. Russ is out and so is Randy. They will both be at the Ren Fest. Christian and Brian are the real question marks.

Next Game Scheduled for 9/12/10

Due to the holiday weekend, we are moving the game to 9/12/10. I am planning to run. You will be playing your 10th level characters.

Next Game Sunday August 1st

I believe that we are still on for August 1st.

Who is running?

I have an adventure I can run but I need to read it first. I will be pretty busy between now and then but I should be able to prepare something to run if required. Again I would prefer not to run all day but I can if need be.

I will be out of communication from 7/16-7/25.

Please validate you character classes and levels in each. You have achieved 10th level as of last session. This is what I believe is the case:

Alerin - Rogue (3)/Wizard (3)/Arcane Trickster (4) - Elf - Randy
Jaral - Sorcerer (10) - Elf - Russ
Ladashsha - Barbarian (8)/Rogue (2) - Half-orc - Bruce
Liskard - Druid (10) - Human - Brian
Buttons - Animal Companion (dog)
Pariah - Fighter (10) - Human - Jon
Lady Smoke - Cleric (3)/Wizard (3)/Mystic Theurge (4) - Human - Christian
Red Fang - Cleric (10) - Half-orc - Dave

I would also like to see a list of what everyone has for magic items. I know that there has not been a ton handed out and somethings have been sold but there has been still items and I would like to know where they are. I would also like to make sure that no character has been artifically shanked by the fact that they missed a session or two whenthe treasure has been handed out.

Those of you who did not make the last session also earned approximately 30,000 GP. The actual total was something like 29,965 GP. Please ask your fellow players.

Advanced Player's Guide ... it's almost here

The Advanced Player's Guide is almost here. Here is an image of the back cover.

For those that cannot ready the blurry print:

Explore new and uncharted depths of roleplaying with the Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide! Empower your existing characters with expanded rules for all 11 Pathfinder Roleplaying Game core classes and seven core races, or build a new one from the ground up with one of six brand-new, 20-level base classes. Whether you’re designing your own monstrous helpers as an enigmatic summoner, brewing up trouble with a grimy urban alchemist, or simply teaching an old rogue a new trick, this book has everything you need to make your heroes more heroic.

The Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide is a must-have companion volume to the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook. This imaginative tabletop game builds upon more than 10 years of system development and an Open Playtest featuring more than 50,000 gamers to create a cutting-edge RPG experience that brings the all-time best-selling set of fantasy rules into the new millennium.

The 336-page Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide includes:
  • Six new base classes: the monster-hunting inquisitor, the explosive alchemist, the noble cavalier, the prophecy-haunted oracle, the monster-crafting summoner, and the hex-weaving witch
  • More than a hundred innovative new feats and combat abilities for characters of all classes, including Steal, Point-Blank Master, and Bouncing Spell
  • Variant class abilities, rules subsystems, and thematic archetypes for all 11 core classes, such as the antipaladin, the hungry ghost monk, and the urban ranger

  • A wealth of fantastic equipment, such as fireblast rods and fortune-tellers’ cards
  • New prestige classes like the Master Chymist and the Battle Herald

Does anyone who is not going to Gen Con want me to pick up a copy for them? I believe that I will get my discount when buying direct at the show. It retails for $40 plus tax. I should be able to get it for $34 plus tax.

(Sorry for the duplicate if you are also on the Tuesday Game Blog.)

Sunday Reminders

Looks like I am running the whole session on Sunday.

We will be completing the current Pathfinder adventure. There is really only one encounter left. At the end you will be level 10. Please try to have a leveled copy of your character (at the very least you should have an idea of how you plan to advance.

I have a new adventure for 10th level characters that we can play after the other is finished. This should last us a few sessions.

I am expecting Dave, Bruce, Jon, Brian and Randy. Russ is a maybe and Christian is a no.

June 6th is Looking Good

It looks like I will be available on June 6th to play and run.

We should be able to finish up the current adventure. It will likely take up part of one slot. If I need to come up with something to fill the rest of the session, I would like to know soon.

If Christian is planning to run a Pathfinder/D&D game, are there any details so that we can make characters? What does everyone want to play?

Did he find an adventure to run?

There are a few lower level Pathfinder adventures that I do not own, have not read or played.

GameMastery Module TC1: Into the Haunted Forest (OGL) - 1st level

GameMastery Module U2: Hangman's Noose (OGL) -1st level

GameMastery Module W2: River into Darkness (OGL) -4th level

Pathfinder Module W3: Flight of the Red Raven (OGL) - 4th level

The PDFs can be purchased from Paizo for $8.99 each.

May 16th no longer works for me

It looks like I will not be able to make any Sunday dates in May work. As I am being asked to run the full session, I am afraid that means that we will need to cancel our Sunday game for May.

If you want to get together and do something, that is great but I will not be able to participate.

Looking ahead for the next few months:

I am not sure about June 6th. Right now it looks good but I am not 100% sure. The rest of my weekends are shot for June.

July is looking bad too. I think that I am busy every weekend. (Jully 11th seems to be the most likely date if I can make any.)

August 1st should work.

Game this Sunday - 4/11/10

The April session of the Sunday game is on tap for this coming Sunday.

I am prepared to run and I expect that Christian is too. If not, I believe that I have enough material to run the whole session. As determined last session, you are definitely 8th level.

I will plan to run the early shift. I believe that Christian has asked for the later shift.

See you at 2:00.

Game this Sunday - 3/7/10

We are on schedule for our game this coming Sunday. We will be at Bruce's house. (He will be back in town at least long enough for the Sunday game.)

I plan on running my Pathfinder game. As I sent out earlier, you should be 7th level but should plan to advance to 8th.

I expect that we will complete the adventure that I have been running for the last couple of months. (The one with the magic paintings and the murders.)

I can run either the early or the late session.

Christian should be on tap for his Champions game.

See you Sunday.
